Daniel Gadd, writer
Eastern Montgomery has a brand new year!
The Media Arts/Journalism class has just started and their first task has been interviewing some of their classmates.
There are many different perspectives and new ideas flowing throughout the school.
Many stories…THESE ARE THOSE STORIES!

Back to school!
Cassidy Helm and I are talking about our back to school experiences. When asked what her best class was so far, Cassie stated, "Honestly...Journalism is pretty fun, but I like technical drawing and design." What do you think you'll like best next semester? "Horticulture, because I don't really remember all my other classes." Next I had a chance to get to know sophomore Patience Huff and discover...

#SENIORSZNBABY
Tony Amato received all the classes he needs and wants. He said he is really excited for this year and to go out with a bang. Tony says that it doesn't even take 30 minutes to get ready in the morning, but it’s really because he’s a guy and it just takes him a lot less time to get ready. “ It’s #SENIORSZNBABY” “Two claps and a Ric Flair Wooooooooo!!!!” Tony yells. Laney Edwards ...

New year, New seats
I asked Charlie McGuff Who he sat with in each class? And McGuff told me that in first period he sits with Kaylee Blanton and Cassidy Stancil. In second he said that he sits with Marcus Caldwell, and in third McGuff sits by himself because he says he has no friends in that class. McGuff says that in Fourth block he says that he sits with Zach Batten and Marcus Caldwell. I asked Hannah Hawks who she sat next to in ...

Senior Year: The Beginning of the End
Senior year is the year of challenges, but also the year of fun and excitement. While we've all been in school for three years now, there's just a certain feeling to being a senior, being the leaders of the school. Some find senior year terrifying, fearfully awaiting the future, while others are expectant for what's in store for them. Here are two senior's thoughts about this year, their year. The beginnin...
Sophomores Return!
Students woke up early on August 14 to return to back to school! Halls were filled with students catching up, opening their lockers, and searching for their new classes. The students were surprised to see a limo in front of the school, they were able to get inside and take pictures. Everyone noticed the positive messages teachers wrote for them with chalk. Teachers created a tunnel to pump everyone...

Another Year Back
Juniors Lacee Watkins and Ashley Maxey tell us what it is like to be back another year. The first question I asked them what was their favorite class so far this year or in general. Lacee said, "Art, because we are left alone to do what we need to do for that class." Ashley on the other hand said, "Art" as well. The second question I asked was, "What is your favorite teacher this year or last year?"...

Freshmen vs. Seniors- The Final Countdown
This year has brought in many new students and is about to let out an older generation of students, the freshmen and the seniors. There are many differences between the two groups, but a lot of duality between them as well. This idea is really enhanced by the two interviews conducted by Daniel Gadd. He interviewed senior, Elsie Byrd, and freshman, Jenna Gadd, the differences between the two standing...

Seniors: Hidden Thoughts and Opinions
Life is full of little mysteries; including unknown thoughts and opinions of our friends and neighbors. When given the challenge of interviewing our friends about back to school I wanted to go a little more into depth. I started out with a question brought up in senior meetings: What privileges do you wish seniors have but don't? Daniel Gadd answered briefly with seniors should receive one extra minute...

New Year, Same Mac-n-Cheese
“My worst part of junior year so far is having to wake up so early. My best part is having some classes with my close friends. The most challenging teacher I have is Mr.Willis because I am nowhere near skilled in carpentry. Intro to medical health on the other hand is my all time favorite because it's a start to my career path. I believe this year is going to be so much better than the last becau...

New School…New Year!
Gavin is a new student at East Mont. He is a junior and his favorite part so far is getting to meet new people. He also thinks this year is going to be better than the last because it’s a new school and environment for him. His favorite class is welding at Christiansburg High school.

Juniors…Almost the End!
Junior Haley Helm was asked how the school's new lunch is? She said “I really enjoy the school’s new lunch options. There is more of a selection and lots to choose from.” The second question I asked her was what's your favorite class and why? She said “My favorite class so far is anatomy because of everything that there is to learn. I am so excited to learn more about the human body and explor...
