Growing up

November 4, 2021
The time I realized I was growing up was when I started having showers instead of baths.
When my music taste evolved from just Taylor Swift.
When I got my first phone and was connected to everything at my fingertips.
Oh how I reminisce on that careless childhood with no responsibilities.
With no connections to the world outside my small town.
It’s a bittersweet feeling.
On one hand I’m jealous of that little girl who played outside and spent her time watching tv, but also I love how much I’ve changed.
I’m finally making my own decisions, although it might be hard sometimes.
So if I could tell younger me one thing, out of anything else…I would tell her to embrace the change, and not to fear it.
